Holiday Cottage FAQ's

What are the arrival and departure times?

Arrival and departure times vary between the different accommodations, but cottage owners generally ask for you to arrive after 3pm on the day of arrival and leave the property by 10am on the day of departure.

This allows the owners to make sure that the accommodation is thoroughly cleaned and ready for you when you arrive.

How do I pay?

You will need to ask the cottage owner direct about payments and they will guide you through their own process.

To secure your booking most cottage owners ask for a deposit of approximately 25 %. if you are booking more than 56 days before your arrival date. This goes towards your final bill. The owner of the accommodation will then contact you when it’s time to pay the balance of your holiday.

If the booking is made within 56 days before your holiday, you may be asked for the full rental price to be paid.

How will I receive confirmation of my booking and payment?

The holiday cottage owner will deal with you directly. They generally send a receipt of payment and may also send you further information about the accommodation, local area and how to find them.

What happens if I need to cancel my holiday?

If you need to cancel, you must notify the cottage owner immediately by phone and then by letter. You must abide by their terms and conditions and it is advisable to ask for these on or before booking the cottage.

Will there be any additional charges?

This depends on the accommodation. There may be additional charges for items such as extra beds, pets, bedding and use of some facilities.

However it makes sense to ask the owner before booking just to be sure that there are no surprises.

What facilities do the cottages have?

This depends on the individual accommodation. All holiday cottages will have something special to offer you and the number of facilities and extras that they have will be reflected in the price.

If you are interested in a particular accommodation please check out their information page for more details about what they offer.

Do you ever offer discounts?
