Location

We are situated on the northern outskirts of Llangors village, which has a local shop and two pubs serving food.

Llangors

A charming, vibrant village, just a few minutes walk from the largest natural lake in South Wales where there are all types of water-sports available; canoeing, sailing and boat hire. Coarse fishing is also available. Llangors is a wonderful base for walking, cycling and much else besides. The village is in a beautiful setting with views of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons, where you can climb Pen-y-fan, the highest mountain in South Wales as well as many others.

There are two riding centres offeing Pony Trekking up into the hills as well as lessons. The Rope centre which has one of the best climbing walls in Europe, offers climbing, pot-holing and abseiling with fully qualified instructors, there is also a gliding centre at nearby Talgarth.

In the village itself there are two pubs which serve good food, a small newsagent/shop. For local historic interest, the 15th century church houses fragments of early Christian stones; and a Crannog - a royal palace from the dark ages - was constructed on an artifical island in the lake and a reconstruction has recently be completed. Legend tells of a city lying beneath the lake with church bells that mysteriously toll.
