From the doorway in, your accommodation has many interesting and intricate features, setting it aside from mainstream self catering properties. An integral garage allows ample space for your car and any holiday paraphernalia.

The utility room hosts a washing machine and tumble dryer and leads into the kitchen, which is equipped to the highest standard and boasts top quality appliances (oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer) and plenty of storage. A breakfast bar separates the dining area and subdued lighting encourages relaxed dining.

The light, spacious lounge has comfortable settees and entertainment can be accessed through a large plasma screen. The large north facing window offers fantastic elevated views across the town of Kirkwall.

The ground floor bedroom, with double bed, has en-suite bathroom facilities and ample storage. There is also a large storage cupboard situated outside the bedroom.

There is a bathroom on the ground floor with a shower and the large mirror above the sink has background lighting, providing yet another interesting feature.

The modern stairway provides interesting lighting features and leads to the upper accommodation. The master bedroom, with luxurious king size bed, again offers a view across Kirkwall, while the second bedroom provides 2 single beds, in a restful atmosphere. The bathroom holds a deluxe corner bath as well as a separate shower.

A wireless broadband connection allows for on-line access if you require it.

The owners will greet you on arrival and are accessible should you require any assistance. An Orkney welcome pack is provided for your arrival.

Things You Need To Know

A one-minute walk will take you to the hillside site where illegal distilling and whisky smuggling took place in 1798. Now legalised, this operation is known as Highland Park Distillery, Scotland's most northerly. Enjoy your whisky sampling, safe in the knowledge that your base is less than 100m away!

Your accommodation will be ready for you by 2.30pm on your arrival day and the property must be vacated by 10am on departure day. Alternative times can be arranged only if possible.
