Situated in a lovely area with stunning scenery. This is a great area for walking either from the cottage door or on a short car journey into the dales. The scenery is some of the best in the country with vast open moorland and beautiful river valleys. The cottage is a warm cosy place to return to with ample hot water,power showers and luxury towels.

Location

Situated in a quiet location between Teesdale and Swaledale, this is a good base for exploring this beautiful part of England.

The cities of Durham, York and Newcastle are easily accessible for a day trip and the old market towns of Barnard Castle, Richmond, Leyburn, Darlington and Northallerton are nearby.
The whole area is steeped in history with an abundance of ancient cathedrals, churches, castles and museums to visit.

The Cottage is for self catering guests. This is a converted barn, adjoining the farm house but with its own courtyard. There are two double en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor with open plan kitchen and living room on the upper floor, thus taking advantage of the magnificent surrounding views.

The kitchen is equipped to the highest standard with microwave, fridge freezer, dish washer and the latest simple to use Rayburn cooker which also runs the efficient central heating and provides ample hot water.

All linen and fuel are provided.

There is an adjoining laundry and drying room for guests' use.

Directions

Located one mile from the A66 at Greta Bridge, 10 miles from the A1 at Scotch Corner and 40 miles from the M6 at Penrith, Wilson House is easily accessible by car.

For the non-motorist Darlington railway station is twenty miles away and there is a regular bus service from Richmond and Barnard Castle.
Manchester airport has a good rail link to Darlington which takes about 1 hour.
Durham Tees Valley (Teeside) Airport is about 25 miles away.

Pick-up from Darlington Rail station or DTV airport can be arranged.
