Location

Bodham itself is convenient for the entire North Norfolk coast especially Cromer, Sheringham, Blakeney and Holt. The National Trust properties of Blickling and Felbrigg are close by and a visit Sheringham Park in the Spring is spectacular. If you are a keen bird watcher you will find Cley marshes nature reserve not far away.

North Norfolk is not just for Summer however, it boasts the famous Thursford Christmas Spectacular and if you are around at that time of year it is certainly worth an evening stroll around Holt to view the seasonal lights . Or why not visit us in January and February? The cottage is warm and cosy, an ideal place to spend the evenings after a brisk walk along the Peddars Way maybe.

Hartswood Cottage is a very comfortable holiday 'home from home' sleeping up to five people.

When we purchased this property in 2004 it was the fulfilment of a long held dream to own a cottage for holiday letting. Over the years we have seen holiday accommodation of varying qualities and have come to the conclusion that much of it is disappointing.

We wanted Hartswood Cottage to be different. We have worked to our own criteria, treating it as an extension of our own home. Everything has had to pass the 'would we be satisfied with this?' test. The result, we believe, is a comfortable and peaceful cottage in which to spend your well earned holiday.

On the ground floor there is a spacious lounge with a leather suite and pine furniture. There is a widescreen TV with Freeview digital channels, a DVD player, VHS recorder and a radio/CD player. You will find books and games and we leave a selection of leaflets on local attractions to help you plan your days out.

The kitchen/diner comes equipped with all you will need, including an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave. In the Dining Area there is a small TV (also with Freeview) and a Hi-Fi for your entertainment whilst you dine at the large pine table with comfortable dining chairs.

Upstairs the Master Bedroom has a 5ft bed, pine dressing table and built in wardrobes. There are two further bedrooms, one twin and one single each furnished to the same high standard.

The bathroom has been recently refurbished with a bath (with power shower over), wash basin and toilet. There is also a downstairs toilet, which is also recently refurbished.

Outside you can relax in the peaceful and secluded garden which, in the Summer months, has patio furniture with sun umbrella and a bench at the bottom of the garden for you to just sit and enjoy the open countryside views.

To the front of the property is a garage plus off road parking for two further cars.

The price is fully inclusive, there are no hidden extras. All electricity, bedding, towels and kitchen linen are provided. There is a payphone in the cottage both for your incoming and outgoing calls.

Things You Need To Know

We are unfortunately unable to provide cots, high chairs etc. and therefore the property is best suited to older children and adults.

We also regret we are unable to accept pets. Please also note smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.

Other Information

Weekly bookings are Friday to Friday with short breaks (Fri/Mon or Mon/Fri) available off season.

We may be able to accommodate a short break during the main holiday season, however these will be at short notice only.
