Location
The village of Fleckney is just a mile down the road and boasts a chemist, a supermarket, a post office, two pubs, a chip shop and a Chinese take-away. The cottage is a great base for exploring miles of countryside walks many of which cross our farmland. We are also ideally placed for visiting the numerous attractions around the East Midlands.

The cottage is attached to the farmhouse of a working farm just outside the village of Fleckney, in the south of Leicestershire. The centrally heated accommodation comprises a large farmhouse kitchen / diner, lounge, double bedroom, dressing room, shower room and a garden room.
The south facing cottage is entered via a garden room which is a real sun-trap. At one end of this are the laundry facilities comprising a washing machine and tumble dryer. The original front door leads into a very generously proportioned farmhouse kitchen with fridge (including freezer compartment), cooker, microwave and all the utensils, crockery and cutlery necessary to make your stay as straight-forward as possible. Sitting at the kitchen table, you can look across the garden towards our pond.
A complimentary welcome tray with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits awaits you on arrival. Books and magazines are provided together with games and jigsaws for a rainy day.
From the kitchen, a door leads into the lounge with a bay window overlooking the garden. There's a sofa to relax on after a day in the country, and a television with digital freeview box to catch up on the day's events.
The lounge leads onto the peaceful double bedroom furnished with a large dressing table, mirror, hairdryer, lamps and bed-side table.
Attached to the bedroom is the dressing room with plenty of wardrobe space. The dressing room leads onto a large, stylish shower room with WC and hand basin.
Outside, our large south facing garden and patio is available for the use of our guests, should you wish to relax with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the fields.
* Towels and bedding are provided.
* Guests are asked to refrain from smoking in the cottage.
* A high chair and travel cot can be provided with prior arrangement. Please bring your own cot bedding.
Pets are welcome with prior arrangement, but request that they are kept under control at all times, kept off beds and not left unattended in the cottage, other than in the garden room.
There is plenty of room to park your car outside the cottage, and you are welcome to leave your car at the farm should you wish to go exploring the local countryside on foot.
Public transport to Leicester and Market Harborough is available from the village (1 mile).

View MapFrom the East- From A47, take B6047 towards Market Harborough. At the A6 junction, turn right and continue to Kibworth Beauchamp. Turn left off A6, following sign for Fleckney. Continue through and out of village approx 2 miles to T junction signed Fleckney right and Saddington left. TURN LEFT (away from Fleckney), go up hill and then TURN RIGHT towards Shearsby. Take the first right (after approx 1 mile) signed Arnesby and continue to the bottom of this road. Turn right and you will be able to see the farm on your right. Please use the second entrance in front of the cottage/farmhouse. Please note that this is a longer route, using mostly main roads, but there is a more direct, cross country route for the more adventurous amongst you which can be followed with most good road maps.
From the M1- leave the M1 at Junction 20 and head East towards Market Harborough on the A4304. After 4 miles, in the village of North Kilworth, turn left on the B5414 (towards Shearsby and Leicester). At the end, turn left heading north on the A5199. After approximately 2.5 miles, turn right at the crossroads towards Saddington (in front of AT Houghton Agricultural Engineers). Take the first left (after approx. 1 mile) signed Arnesby and continue to the bottom of this road. Turn right and you will be able to see the farm on your right. Use the second entrance in front of the cottage.
From the A14- leave the A14 at Junction 1 and join the A5199 heading north towards Husbands Bosworth. Continue through Welford and Husbands Bosworth, remaining on the A5199. About a mile past the Mowsley junction, turn right at the crossroads towards Saddington (in front of AT Houghton Agricultural Engineers). Take the first left (after approx. 1 mile) signed Arnesby and continue to the bottom of this road. Turn right and you will be able to see the farm on your right. Use the second entrance in front of the cottage.
From the M6- leave the M6 at junction 1 (Rugby) and head for Lutterworth on the A426. Go over the first roundabout (junction with the A5) and turn right at the second roundabout onto the A4304 towards Market Harborough. Go over the M1 (junction 20) and after 4 miles, in the village of North Kilworth, turn left on the B5414 (towards Shearsby and Leicester). At the end, turn left heading north on the A5199.
