Location
Harrop Fold, set in a recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a tiny hamlet with a history dating back to the 12thC. Within Harrop Fold are a few cottages and farmsteads and its very own chapel, surrounded by fells. Gentle renovation has preserved the character of this ancient hamlet whilst introducing the necessities of today. The result is a well balanced community with a deep love of "The Fold".
Harrop Fold is the ideal location from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the coastal resorts of Morecambe, Blackpool and Southport, all within a 1 hour drive. The spa town of Harrogate is also within easy reach, whilst York, the capital city of Yorkshire is some 20 miles further. More locally are the castles of Clitheroe and Skipton, the abbeys of Whalley and Sawley, the settle to Carlisle railway and the Trough of Bowland, a spectacular hill pass to Lancaster, only 25 miles. Not forgetting the ample scope for walking in the surrounding hills. Fishing is also available on the River Ribble and the nearby Stocks Reservoir.

There are 4 cottages within Harrop Fold. The Old Granary sleeps 2, Manor House Cottage can sleep 3, Bradley House sleeps up to four persons and Manor House sleeps up to 5. All the accommodation is well appointed, with relaxing sitting rooms, exposed beams, colour TVs and well equipped kitchens.
The Old Granary - features an external staircase reaching first floor accommodation, containing lounge with good views and a fitted kitchen with breakfast bar.

The Old Granary has a staircase, so the cottages may not be suitable for a people who find stairs difficult.
Directions
From M6 jct 31, Harrop Fold is signposted off the Grindelton-Slaidburn road near its jct with the road from Holden and Bolton by Bowland. Continue to end of single track, Harrop Chapel is on the right. At Harrop Fold, white house on the left, turn right.
Clitheroe railway and bus stations - 6 miles.
