The accommodation is central for visiting the lakes, Yorkshire dales, Trough of Bowland and the lesser known picturesque villages around Morecambe Bay. Morecambe, itself, along with The Eric Morecambe memorial, has some fascinating Nursery Rhyme pavements, well worth a look. Warton is between the historical places of Lancaster and Kendal.

Location

Culdene is situated at the foot of Warton Crag in an area of outstanding natural beauty. You can walk through our smallholding up the crag and onwards to Leighton Moss Bird Reserve. There are inns, one serving meals, within easy walking distance. Carnforth, with it's station clock of 'Brief Encounter' fame, is two miles and here are cafes, inns, takeaways, supermarkets and a large bookshop for browsers.

Owner's Description

There is ample seating and a separate dining area. We have jigsaw puzzles, games and varied reading material for your enjoyment.

There is colour television, video and dvd. The fitted kitchen has a cooker, microwave, washer and tumble drier with a good selection of cutlery and utensils. There are empty shelves by the back door for muddy shoes and boots etc. An over door hanger will take wet walking clothes.

The fitted bedroom has a super king 6ft wide bed or two 3ft singles. Please specify when booking. The bathroom has a separate shower. All bedding, linen and towels provided.

The apartment is centrally heated throughout and there is also an electric fire in the living room.

Things You Need To Know

Sorry, we do not take pets but arrangements can be made with the brand new (constructed 2006) Milnthorpe Kennels & Cattery where you could board your dog overnight but have your pet with you should you go walking.

Leave the M6 at Junction 35 take the slip road signposted Milnthorpe. At the roundabout turn right following the sign for Milnthorpe then first left into Borwick Lane which brings you to a crossroad in Warton. Drive left through the village and Culdene is on the right a few hundred yards past Warton Hall Garage and opposite a field gate Please go up the STRAIGHT drive to the car park where we will be waiting to welcome you.
