The cottage is situated on a country lane in peaceful countryside with extensive views over the surrounding downs and farmland. There are many beautiful walks to be enjoyed right from the cottage itself, and also good beaches within a short drive. With many leisure activities and attractions to be enjoyed within easy reach, all tastes can be catered for.

Location

Maytime Cottage is located 1 mile from the village of Whitwell with its garage, post office/shop and pub. 2 miles away is the attractive village of Niton with several shops, 2 pubs, doctor and vet. The charming Victorian resort of Ventnor is 4 miles to the southeast.

The cottage offers spacious accommodation for up to six people.

The cottage has a large living area comprising a sitting room, a large kitchen-diner and a further reception room opening onto the patio and rear garden.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has the benefit of washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave as well as electric hob and oven, fridge and separate freezer.

There is a bathroom and WC upstairs and a shower room and WC on the ground floor.

The sleeping accomodation is in 3 upstairs bedrooms. the first a large double room with double bed, the second is also a double room with a single bed and a set of 3ft bunk beds. The third bedroom is a single room with a single bed. Bed linen is provided for up to six people.

Heating is provided by gas central heating. There is also a wood burning stove in the living room.

Things You Need To Know

We welcome well behaved dogs by prior arrangement.

Other Information

The cottage is rented on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. Visitors may arrive from 3.30pm and the latest departure is 10.30am.

Off peak short breaks are available between November and March, but excluding Christmas and February Half term holidays.
3 night breaks @ £70 per night per party. Short breaks bookings are for a minimum 3 nights.
