With stunning, spotless beaches, clean air and wide-ranging and ever-changing views; you will definitely enjoy your time with us on the Isle of Lewis.

The Hebrides are home to a fantastic range of outdoor activities and provide an incredible variety of historical and cultural treasures. There are interests for everyone - from the most active to the most cerebral.

Location

Isle of Lewis is the largest and most populated of the Outer Hebrides. The landscape is varied with rocky coastlines and beautiful golden beaches. Inland is mostly moorland with an abundance of lochs dotted throughout, making the island an ideal location for a fishing holiday.

The island is an archaelogical paradise with standing stones and pictish sites spread across the land.

The island's capital Stornoway is a vibrant and lively town, that has many modern bars and restaurants as well as traditional ceilidhs to keep you entertained ! In Stornoway you will find the Lewis Castle grounds which is a woodland that was planted in the 19th century. Here there is a large variety of trees, with even some rare foreign species.

Owner's Description

To the rear of "Seacote" is The Bothy, which was originally built as an extension to the main building. There are two bedrooms (1 double, 1 bunk) with built in wardrobes. The shower room is equipped with a powerful shower fed off the gas "combi" boiler which also provides the central heating.

The lounge area and kitchen are open plan and a large settee / day bed is provided which can provide additional sleeping provision if required. There is a fenced garden area with an extensive lawn , which has been used by kids for pitching their tents!

As with the other properties, outside there are clothes drying facilities and a secure shed for storage of bikes and other equipment.

Presently graded three stars, plans are being made to remove one bedroom and replace this with a large bathroom with sauna, steam shower and whirlpool bathtub. Watch this space!
