There are seven holiday cottages at Kirkwood - forming an ideal base for a rural holiday. For walking, fishing, golfing, cycling, horse riding, for wildlife and for peace and quiet.
A holiday at Kirkwood is perfect at any time of the year. Enjoy balmy summer evenings by the river with a glass of wine. Explore our woodland walks on a crisp winter's morning. In spring wildlife abounds and is a joy to behold. Enjoy the peace and quiet whilst fishing for salmon in autumn.

West Lodge is a single storey cottage situated at the main entrance to Kirkwood, just off a minor public road. With a lovely, private garden complete with garden furniture, it's the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon. West Lodge is a very popular, traditional holiday cottage.
West Lodge has two charming twin bedrooms, both comfortably furnished. The cosy sitting room has an open fire, colour TV, comfortable seating and a dining table and chairs. The galley-style kitchen has a breakfast bar for your more informal meals.
The spacious bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC.
West Lodge is heated using electric storage heaters with either the back boiler or immersion heater heating the water.
The telephone in the Lodge takes incoming calls only on 01576 510305.

Pets are normally accepted, but please ask in advance.
Directions
Leave the M74 (London/Glasgow road) at Ecclefechan and take B725 signed to Dalton (6 miles away). This joins another road and crosses the river then turns sharp RIGHT - still for Dalton on B725.
Pass through Dalton heading towards Lockerbie. After half a mile turn RIGHT for Lockerbie. After another half mile (up a straight hill) West Lodge is the stone cottage on the RIGHT. Turn in here for the Stables Courtyard too, going 500m then turning RIGHT (top of hill). The Stables is 300m further down this track. Hare cottage is first on the left on entering the Courtyard (with light green window surrounds), while Red Squirrel Cottage is the farthest on the left (with dark blue windows). Otter Cottage (dark green windows) is on the far side of the square and Roe Deer Cottage (dark blue windows) is the first on the right. Fox Cottage is the light blue door farthest away.
