Owner's Description

Otter Cottage was converted in 1998 into a charming holiday home with plenty of space. It is situated in the Stables Courtyard and benefits from the facilities that are found there including the laundry, games room and children's play area.

Downstairs you'll find a spacious family bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. There is also a large double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and a pretty twin bedroom, which has windows looking out over the courtyard as well as one looking towards the woods. Upstairs is another twin bedroom with a hand basin.

The lovely open plan living area runs almost the whole length of the upper floor and has a comfortable lounge area with television, video and CD player, a large dining table and chairs and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher.

The many windows make this a fantastic bright space, perfect for entertaining or relaxing. Otter Cottage is a comfortable and welcoming 3 star accommodation.

Leave the M74 (London/Glasgow road) at Ecclefechan and take B725 signed to Dalton (6 miles away). This joins another road and crosses the river then turns sharp RIGHT - still for Dalton on B725.

Pass through Dalton heading towards Lockerbie. After half a mile turn RIGHT for Lockerbie. After another half mile (up a straight hill) West Lodge is the stone cottage on the RIGHT. Turn in here for the Stables Courtyard too, going 500m then turning RIGHT (top of hill). The Stables is 300m further down this track. Hare cottage is first on the left on entering the Courtyard (with light green window surrounds), while Red Squirrel Cottage is the farthest on the left (with dark blue windows). Otter Cottage (dark green windows) is on the far side of the square and Roe Deer Cottage (dark blue windows) is the first on the right. Fox Cottage is the light blue door farthest away.

Short breaks are increasingly popular. Our prices vary according to the days required, please contact us for a price. However, we apply a minimum charge of £150 however short the let. Short breaks can only be booked at the last minute, i.e. within two weeks of the desired date, at popular times of the year.
