From the village there is quick access to Greenway House (National Trust), once residence to Agatha Christie and a short walk from there to the ferry boat across the Dart to the pretty village of Dittisham. The medieval market town of Totnes is 6 miles. The Dart river-side-village of Stoke Gabriel is 3 miles. The fishing port of Brixham is 3m. At Newton Abbot there is a major roundabout where you will keep direction Torquay. (Newton Abbot is approx 10 miles from Galmpton). Before Torquay bear right following the A380 (Ring Road) at the roundabout direction Brixham/Dartmouth/Totnes bypassing Torquay and Paignton.
