This pretty cottage is on a lane just 100 yards from the old market square in the village of Castleton. Castleton is famous for its Blue John Caverns, Mam Tor and Peveril Castle.
There are excellent walks near by. Hathersage, less than 6 miles, has an open air swimming pool in the summer. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the market towns of Buxton and Bakewell, all within 12 miles.
Location
Eastry is situated off the Market Place in the picturesque village of Castleton, in the heart of the Peak District.
Direct access to walks and footpaths from the cottage, or just visit our famous castle and caverns. Castleton is near to the Spar town of Buxton, and the Market town of Bakewell, famous for the pudding. Within easy reach of Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Crich "Peak Practice" village, famous for trams, the plague village of Eyam and within reach by rail to Sheffield and Manchester.

The 300-year old cottage was once a tea shop and has recently been renovated and converted into comfortable self-catering accommodation for four people.
The high standard of accommodation is ideal for up to 4 people with one double bed and one twin bedded room, all beautifully appointed with duvet (linen and towels provided) changed weekly for stays longer than the week.
Bedrooms have views of the hills and Mam Tor "The Shivering Mountain". A bathroom upstairs with W/C and shower/bath. Downstairs a lovely fully fitted kitchen equipped with cooker, hob/grill, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, coffee percolator etc. A large sitting room/dining with colour TV and video, fully carpeted through the cottage.
For winter holidays we have a gas baxi central heating system and fire. All windows are double glazed. Parking is available on the street outside the cottage.
We always leave little extras in to get your holiday off to a good start. eg: fresh milk, eggs, flowers etc.
Things You Need To Know
Come early season to savour the peace and quiet, see local well dressing and the Castle Garland Ceremony or come late to see the Christmas lights, Castleton is truly a village for all seasons.

A deposit of £50.00 per week is requested. The balance is due 14 days before arrival please. Your booking will be confirmed within the week.
