The lodge is warm and welcoming whatever the weather. There is a large private balcony and sun deck, with views over Wansfell to the East, Applethwaite Common to the West and the Troutbeck Fells to the North.

The weather in the Lake District is not always sunny , but without a bit of rain there would be no lakes would there! Limefitt in the rain is still a beautiful place.

Location

Nestling at the foot of the Troutbeck valley, the lodge is only 3 miles from Lake Windermere but it is a world away from the bustle of Ambleside and Bowness.

This spacious self-catering log cabin, located within the award winning Limefitt Park in Troutbeck is situated less than 30 minutes drive from Junction 36 of the M6.

Limefitt is a 5 star Park spectacularly situated in one of Lakeland's most beautiful valleys capturing the very essence of the Lake District National Park - a friendly place of peace and tranquillity set amidst truly breath taking scenery.

With its spectacular and unspoiled surroundings, direct access to the Lakeland fells and abundance of walks and wildlife you could be forgiven for thinking that Limefitt is remote - but it's not.

Limefitt Park is conveniently situated on the A592 just two and a half miles from Bowness on Windermere on the way to the Kirkstone Pass. It is on the route of a regular bus service that runs from Windermere Station to Patterdale.

Windermere Lodge is perfectly placed for a peaceful holiday whilst being close enough to the major visitor centres for those who want to explore the Lake District.

Owner's Description

Windermere Lodge has an open plan lounge and dining room with a feature warm air flame effect fireplace.There is a comfortable twin sofa and two arm chairs for you to relax in, and a coffee table, a dining table, 4 dining chairs and a sideboard. There is also a great selection of DVDs, books, board games and a few toys.

A state of the art 20" LCD TV, DVD player. Micro Hifi with MP3 and USB connectivity complete the entertainment area.

There is a magnificently equipped kitchen. Electric oven and gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and dishwasher.

There is 1 double bedroom with king size bed and fitted wardrobes & cupboards. This room benefits from an en-suite shower room with shower and toilet and hand basin.

The second bedroom is a twin bedroom with 2 full sized single beds with fitted wardrobe & cupboards.

The lodge has a bath room, with full sized bath (not the hip bath found in some smaller lodges), overhead shower, toilet and hand basin.

Prints by a local artist continue the Windermere theme throughout the lodge

Outside there is an extensive private balcony (17' by 16' max), with access through french doors from the lounge. The balcony has garden furniture.

There is a barbecue for use in the garden at the side of the lodge.

Windermere Lodge benefits from an extra large plot and has parking space for two cars alongside the lodge along with a generous private garden area.

Duvets, pillows, bath towels and bed linen are all provided, making your holiday as easy and as comfortable as possible.

Cots and highchairs may be available at an extra cost.

Things You Need To Know

Please note that Troutbeck flows through the park and that parents with must take care to ensure that children are properly supervised at all times, but especially when they are near the water. The lodge does have a gated decking area for your added security.

The end of the decking is a Cumbrian slate wall and has some sharp protuberances. Please ensure that children are not left unsupervised when playing on the decking.

Although the lodge itself is all on one level, there are steps up to it, making it inaccessible for wheelchairs.
