A Scottish experience! In the converted Old Byre of Kilchrist are four totally separate holiday cottages full of character and in a lovely location in the lea of a castle and surrounded by rolling countryside - yet only three miles from Campbeltown.
The location is stunning, set among rolling hills and with a feeling of being right on your own. Yet Campbeltown, the 'wee toon' is just three miles away. It is proud of its state-of-the-art new swimming pool and fitness suite, and also has plenty of interesting shops, cafes and restaurants. The owl centre is a recent attraction.

Angus Cottage is the largest of the cottages sleeping up to 6 people. It has a more spacious living space for dining, cooking and relaxing, including two large leather sofas. Things You Need To Know

There are lots of jokes about Scottish weather and some of them are at least partly true! It can be wet and windy in Kintyre at times, so come prepared. But did you know that the West of Scotland is mild due to the Gulf Stream? There are even palm trees growing in Campbeltown! That is because frosts are rare.

Last May, some Australian friends staying at Kilchrist were heard to say, 'It's too hot!'
So you may be in for a pleasant surprise, but be prepared for anything. To see the Kintyre hills emerge from a mist is beautiful, to see the sunset over the Atlantic on a fine evening awe-inspiring!
