Things You'll Love
We offer peace and tranquility within the beautiful grounds of the Old Manse. The perfect place for bird watching, hill walking or just relaxing. Birds singing will be the only noise to disturb your relaxing holiday. Relax and enjoy the wildlife. Swallows come in the spring. Our barn owl lives in the barn, the herons feed in the field, the pheasant knock on the door. And if you are lucky, the golden eagle can be seen high in the hills.
This beautiful part of Cowal is steeped in history. It was at one time a Lamont stronghold and within the Old Manse there is a small museum maintained by the Clan Lamont Society which depicts their history. The romantic Inverchaolain Church which sits behind the cottage dates back to the early Celtic period.
Fishing, walking, cycling, bird watching, sailing, golf and bowling are just some of the activities in the area to be enjoyed. Location
